About Off and Away East Grand Rapids
Our Mission
We believe that implementing device-free policies that keep devices 'off and away the entire school day,' creates a successful learning environment for our students, teachers, and administrators. Our mission is to support enforcement of these device-free school days across all East Grand Rapids education campuses, enhancing student engagement and academic success.
Off and Away Organizing Board
Christine Dawe is a mom of four, manages communications for O&A, serves on the PTO board at Wealthy elementary, and has written about low-tech childhood in previous work.
Peggy Johnson is a mom of a midddle schooler and elementary schooler and loves volunteering in the learning commons and as a classroom parent. She works in investment management.
Angela Meyers is the mom of an elementary school age child, and loves volunteering and serves on the Wealthy PTO board. She works as a consultant and enjoys traveling with her family.
